Me and Miss Ella Jay Dickson got to have some fun in a photoshoot. After me and her ma got some lunch at Bread & Butter ((LOVE)) , we headed out for my first time shooting with a newborn babe! It was a major success. Ella has some cute baby announcements coming your way... Here's a sneak peak. This is my favorite!

Aspiring goal.

I've always thought new year resolutions and goals were quite cliche, and I still do. But I've made one anyways, its been going swell.
Opening the scriptures every night? Yes, I am. And tonight I was inspired.
1 Nephi 5:8

--there's something about a mothers testimony and knowledge that can never be denied! I love how Sariah has had to deal with her kids and husband being gone on dangerous journeys, yet her faith is never kindled..she stays strong and knows they are doing the Lords work!
Hey I think I like my goal...weird.

i wish.

... sometimes i wish i had wings,
WINGS to fly over the r.o.a.d b.u.m.p.s,
the sharp gravel that brings me to limp,
i think wings would be nice.
...i wasn't gifted with those wings,
why not?
i got stuck with two feet,
i guess they are cute for painting toenails?
feet that feel the {bumps} and gravel,
that become calloused from trial,
now my feet are strong, stronger than before.
and i wonder,
Why would I EVER want wings?

i love my trials, who cares if they bring tears..sorrow..or hurt.
sometimes you gotta love what you got.
and i sure got trials,
but i just got to remember that someone had the greatest trial of all.
and he did it so mine would be lessened.
So feet aren't half as bad as i thought.

when parents are away... children ((at heart)) will play!

so on friday my parents decided to FLY AWAY to Ireland for their anniversary. i guess thats a good enough excuse, eh? well i think so.. especially because that meant my GRAMPS would be my     

 new teenagesitter ( i am not a baby ). so grandpa came and we decided we were gonna have a lot of fun. 

during his visit we became PROFESSIONAL food critics. we hit up so many really 

interesting restaurants. One day we went OVER the RaInBoW... to Rainbow Blvd. 

grandpa had a newspaper article and so we went to get some FIsh 'n' Chips. It was really great and we had a super exciting adventure! with my bum leg we couldn't do all the things we had expected, but we definitely had LOTS of practice naps and hammock naps! they were pretty perfect. Grandpa was my LIFESAVER. he ran around doing almost everything for me. I appreciated it so much. I doubt i said "THANKS GRAMPS!" enough.  Me and grandpa had so much fun, we may have not done that much, but we sure had a blast. One day we went to The District. Grandpa went into REI and i went into Francescas. Hes so funny. He only took like ten minutes. I guess guys don't shop much. I think he just wanted to make me walk on my

messed up knee! haha probably getting a workout since we had been eating like crazy. One night i think we watched three movies. all in a row. it was so fun.Spiderman. A Knight's Tale. Seven Pounds. they were all pretty good. i think half-way through Spiderman we stopped and took a nap. THIS IS THE LIFE! every morning grandpa would wake up and get breakfast ready for me and him. it was so kind. he would always try to get me to eat. but i am not a breakfast person. he sure tried though. even when he wasnt driving me to school he would wake up and send me off. HAHA one time i came home and he immediately had my  medicine ready for me. we got it down to a routine! Oh how I love him!! So basically I just wanted to tell you all HOW AMAZING MY GRANDPA IS! he is so fun, happy, loving and amazing!  I love singing to you in the car... listening to you trying to sing to me, holding your hand, telling you i hate pulled pork, and doing all the fun things we enjoy! we always seem to have the best time ever! I can't wait until my parents go out of town again so you will come see me yet again! But.. before we do this all again. I think to give my parents payback we need to plan a little trip of our own... IM THINKING NEW ZELAND or AFRICA? i dont know. we may have to look into that!  Look at all the fun, INTERESTING, exciting pictures we took. THANK YOU GRANDPA. I LALALA LOVE YOU!

i am 16 going on 17.. da da da daaa daaa da!

so basically it is my birthday tomorrow... so all day today i have been SINGING the song from The Sound of Music!IT HAS BEEN QUITE PLEASANT.  it seems everything has gone very perfectly today. a nice change.
1. alarm clock actually went off (i've been late to seminary lately)
2. nothing too hard to do in school!!!!
3. aced my zoo test.
4. my art project is in the front of the art show (only the best go in the front *major compliment*)
5. purple penguin after school with celina :)
6. rocking out to music!
7. shopping at cute new shop www.gypsyjunkies.com  with mom. birthday outfit complete *love it*
8. sushi night :)
9. dairy queen and yummy ice cream!
10. criminal minds with mom. great way to end the night.

((adventure seeking))

me and tessa mcginnis decided one day that we needed to go to a concert. it so happened that this "super hip" girl Ke$ha was playing at the pearl concert theater. so of course we decided it would be fun.... we also decided that since kesha is known for her crazy makeup and outfits. we would have to do the same. to make it more legit. realistic approach correct? so we did. and we took photos to share.

basically traffic was awful... WE WERE ROCKING AT 2 MPH!
